Executive Assistant to the Vice ChancellorAre you a highly organised individual, who thrives in a fast paced environment?

Have you previously worked within the education sector in a business support or PA role?
If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced EA/PA to join our Client in Buckingham.
You will be directly accountable to the Registrar & Director for supporting the Vice-Chancellor with the management and smooth running of the Vice-Chancellor's office, inbox and diary and providing general office support.
The post-holder will also support the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar & Director with the management of high-level events, visits and committees.
Salary:
up to £40,000 DOE
Hours: 9am to 5:30pm (Monday to Friday)
- Ensuring the smoothrunning of the Vice-Chancellor's office, enabling the Vice-Chancellor to stay informed of activities, awareness of and able to prioritise important meetings, events and committees.
- To proactively manage the Vice-Chancellor's inbox, ensuring that priority is given to complex, challenging or businesscritical matters, that replies to straightforward queries are drafted for the Vice-Chancellor's approval and that routine communications are appropriately filtered and distributed correctly.
- To represent the Vice-Chancellor and wider Executive Group in all communications across all avenues, ensuring messages are clear and consistent.
- To manage the Vice-Chancellor's diary, to attend internal and external events (including arranging travel and accommodation where appropriate).
- To lead on the planning and delivery of the Vice-Chancellor's events as well as supporting other events in which the Vice-Chancellor is involved, and organising highprofile visits by senior external stakeholders, liaising with a wide range of departments.
- To linemanage the secretarial team (other than those assigned) and to regularly review support staff capacity to ensure staff contribute to the effective operation of all facilities.
- To handle enquiries received, exercising sensitivity and good judgement when acting as the interface between the Vice-Chancellor and other senior figures.
- To support the in preparing presentations and speeches, undertaking desk research and sourcing information from internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- To support the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar & Director with recruitment to senior roles.
- To undertake any additional duties required with the scope and purpose of the role.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to contribute to service and policy development
- Effective decisionmaking skills
- An understanding of Educational structures and systems, and wider sector/external awareness
- Negotiation skills with the ability to influence others' thinking
- Analytical and problem solving capability within a specialism or across a specific management function
- Knowledge and skills equivalent to a formal/specialist qualification plus approximately 3 years relevant work experience
- Proactively engage in continuing professional development/training to keep knowledge and skills uptodate
