We are seeking a Band 3 experienced administrator to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team based in Southend CAMHS Team.

About NELFT SET CAMHS

NELFT SET CAMHS is for anybody aged between 0-18, living in the Southend, Essex and Thurrock areas and is free at the point of entry.

The service is also for young people with special educational needs (SEN) up to the age of 25.


Any young person experiencing emotional wellbeing or mental health problems, (or any parent, guardian, professional or teacher of a child who is experiencing emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties), may access our service.


The main responsibilities of the posts:
Desirable criteria

  • Using Systmone data base or similar, to analyse patient information and update accordingly
  • Liaising with members of staff including clinicians and senior managers
  • Direct telephone and face to face contact with service users and their carers/parents
  • Experience in administrative role within the NHS, education, social care or similar


NELFT is an experienced provider of mental health services for children and young people, already providing these services in four London boroughs.

It is also one of England's largest NHS Foundation Trusts.

We provide community health services for children and young people with physical health needs in across Essex and in the four London boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest.

Probationary Period

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust.

All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.

As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.

The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
