An exciting opportunity for an Events Manager has arisen within an international progressive organisation who invest in their staff and offer excellent training opportunities.


This well-established B2B tech business is achieving very high growth and in line with this is expanding the marketing team.

We are seeking an Events Manager with 5+ years of experience in end-to end event management.


The organisation has an international remit and is at the cutting edge of technology, works with some interesting sectors such as pharmaceuticals, research institutions and financial services.

The Events Manager will manage their own hosted events as wellas organise our attendance at exhibitions around the globe.

The role holder will ensure brand and customer experience is maximised, working closely with the BD and marketing team.

When not working on events there will be a requirement to write content so strong copywriting skills would be essential.

The Events Managerwill report into the Senior Marketing Manager

Key responsibilities:


  • Lead event planning, management and postevent activity, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout
  • Work with the marketing and BD teams to optimise events for capture and digital consumption
  • Ensure all events are organised and planned in time for quarterly deadlines, and proof of execution captured
  • Produce all timelines and risk assessments where necessary, working in conjunction with the compliance team
  • Work with the marketing and BD team to ensure appropriate marketing collateral is produced pre, during and postevent
  • Manage all operational & production logistics including but not limited to invitations, AV, venue, creative briefing, catering, security, music, and photography whilst acting as key event liaison with our internal teams and external suppliers
  • Negotiate, manage and maintain excellent professional relationships with existing and potential
- suppliers (including agencies and other general vendors), bringing new best-in-class suppliers to the table per project as needed

  • Creation and management of preevent briefing documents including critical paths, timelines and budgets
  • Work with the marketing team to create hindsight reports to analyse and assess the effectiveness
- of event delivery and ROI, demonstrating an understanding of challenges faced with recommendations for future improvements

  • Experience as an Event Manager from a B2B background
  • Excellent organisation with the ability to manage multiple events concurrently
  • Excellent communication skills, providing clear and concise internal communication of events with key stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Marketing credentials including brand positioning, merchandising, communications, and partnership development
  • Experience of developing brand building strategies; protecting and enhancing brand equity
  • Strong analysis and project management skills
  • Highly motivated, flexible, energetic and innovative with the required determination to achieve results through initiative and common sense
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with dynamic priorities, whilst being resilient and capable of managing stressful situations
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Experienced in MS Office, experienced in adobe suite would be desirable but not essential
  • Ability to travel abroad
  • Must be flexible to work according to the events requirements including occasional evenings and weekends
