    Description

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, highly motivated, Operations Manager to lead the Hospitality team at Dukinfield Golf Club

    Candidates should be dynamic and motivated to drive a well-established facility with a long standing membership base, and a very busy clubhouse. The Clubhouse caters for Golf club functions and society days, Weddings, Birthdays, Wedding Anniversaries, Christenings and Funerals.

    Set in the hills of the Pennines, Dukinfield Golf Club is a popular well-established Golf club within the Tameside/Greater Manchester area. With over a hundred years of tradition Dukinfield has developed a modern approach to running a golf club, with a contemporary clubhouse, Professional golf shop, bar/lounge area and function suite.

    Together with a challenging 18-hole parkland golf course with views over Cheshire, Manchester and as far the Welsh mountains, Dukinfield Golf Club is ready and willing to move forward with the introduction of its successful candidate.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Operations

    ·To ensure the bar is attended at the appropriate times and anticipate when and how many bar staff to have in attendance.

    ·To work front of house serving food and beverages.

    ·To be responsible for the ordering of supplies for the bar and ensuring adequate stocks to meet the club's needs.

    ·Take responsibility for delivering and ensuring high levels of customer service to all members and guests.

    ·Liaise and take guidance from Dukinfield Golf club council when required.

    ·Work with the office to ensure all administrative tasks are well managed

    ·Ensure you and the team are aware of upcoming events

    ·Take full ownership of all events even if you are not responsible for the deliverance

    ·Maintain all records of sales and expenses

    ·To be responsible for the highest level of cleanliness within the clubhouse.

    ·To be responsible for security of the clubhouse and the safety of the patrons within it.

    ·Ensure all club policies are adhered to such as health and safety.

    ·Manage all feedback from members and guests

    ·Be responsible for driving revenue for outside functions

    ·Reports to Captain and Dukinfield Golf Club council, The Bar Chairman will act as the Operations Manager line manager.

    ·Expected to be present for official club functions for example, Mr Presidents dinner, Mr Captains Dinner, Lady Captains dinner, Annual Dinner etc

    ·Promote/advertise the golf club and functions via social media

    ·To review and renegotiate contracts as and when due for renewal i.e brewery provider, sky, house insurance, house utilities etc


    HR

    ·Overlook the welfare of the team

    ·To provide leadership and lead by example, deliver the required standards for the service

    ·Responsible for the recruitment, induction, training, coaching and supervision of the team, and is responsible for their performance management using appropriate feedback.

    ·Monitor employee dress code

    ·Ensure that all new team members receive full induction training including the appropriate safety instructions and training; establishes and enforces all safety policies and procedures.

    ·Carry out monthly team meetings


    Financial

    ·Responsible for daily/weekly cashing up and liaising with the Administrator.

    ·Responsible for cash and charge procedures including floats and daily cash reconciliation

    ·Work closely with the Bar Chairman on menu items, pricing and menu designs for all outlets and special events.
