    Forest Glade Primary School are looking to appoint a Class Teacher to provide high quality, supportive, engaging, teaching for the pupils in our school.     Forest Glade Primary School sits at the heart of Sutton In Ashfield and is a popular school within the local community. We have a strong reputation, and parents return to us generation after generation. Our school building is part of the history of the community, has been extended, and is excellently looked after and cared for. We pride ourselves on being a well presented and attractive school for children and parents who want to join us. We are a one form entry, busy, friendly and thriving school, with high expectations for all pupils. We have six primary classes with a single year group in Foundation Stage 2 and a Nursery running 15 and 30 hours provision. We are a strong team and work well together.

    Forest Glade Primary School, is part of The Flying High Partnership which consists of two distinct parts: Flying High Trust and Flying High Futures. Flying High Trust is a Multi Academy Trust of 30 primary schools across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Nottingham City. Our Flying High family work hard to deliver the best possible opportunities to our children. Through this partnership we are proud of our achievements and are recognised as one of the highest performing Multi Academy Trusts (MAT) in the country. Flying High Futures provides professional learning internally for staff across the Trust, and externally through Department for Education national programmes. Forming part of Flying High Futures is the Flying High Teaching School Hub, Flying High English Hub, and the Flying High cohort of Inspiring Leaders teacher training.

    Your core duties will be:


    • Planning and delivering an engaging enquiry curriculum

    • Leading a subject area in school

    • Communicating with parents and carers

    • Meeting with the Head Teacher/Deputy Head to discuss attainment

    • Responding to safeguarding needs of all children in school

    • Lead assemblies

    • Have a break duty responsibility

    • Arrange engaging out of school visits
