Audit Manager. £60,000 - £70,000. London, Manchester, Cardiff, Belfast, or Edinburgh


For a global organisation with operations in over 100 countries, we are recruiting an Audit Manager to report to the Director of Internal Audit and oversee an annual portfolio of audits.

The role will deliver all aspects of internal audit assignments, portfolio-levelstrategic planning, senior stakeholder management and assurance expertise.

The Audit Manager will support the Director with the annual audit opinion and effectiveness of governance, risk management and control processes for the provision of a first-class internalaudit service.

The Audit Manager will line manage a team of Senior Auditors and Auditors and will involve up to 25% travel.

It can be based anywhere nationwide.


Main Duties:


  • Oversee, plan, and execute a portfolio of audits
  • Partner with the Regional and Global Leadership Teams and be a direct point of contact for Senior and Regional Management for all internal audit queries
  • Work with the Director of Internal Audit in the delivery of assurance processes
  • Establish and develop the profile of Internal Audit across the Regional Leadership team
  • Responsible for the overall delivery of Audit portfolios, including planning, fieldwork, reporting and action
  • Line manage, motivate, and lead a team of Auditors
  • Work on the annual audit plan and identify and propose assurance needs to meet priorities

Person Specification:


  • Accountancy of Internal Audit qualification
  • Proven trackrecord in Risk and Assurance
  • Internal Audit experience from international and multicultural companies
  • SAP experience
  • Management of teams
  • Shared Services and IR Assurance would be desirable
  • Strong report writing skills and strong presentation skills
  • COSA and IIA experience
  • Internal Audit practices (COSO, IIA)
  • Proven track record in Program and Project Assurance and managing Risk
  • Programme and Project Assurance skills
  • Very strong report writing and communication / presentation skills
