    Description
    We design and build photonic quantum technologies from the ground up.

    Together with our partners, we are applying our technology to overcome barriers to clean energy, quantum networking, and quantum computing.

    We seek a Nanofabrication Engineer to join our hardware team and contribute towards the design and prototyping of our quantum processors.

    This permanent role is full time (37.5 hrs/week) and on-site at our Southampton premises.

    Salary range is £50k - £66k depending on experience (a higher salary is possible where appropriate for more senior appointments).

    Main rolesFabricate photonics processors in a cleanroom environmentImprove fabrication processes to optimise for quality and reproducibilityLiaise with our photonic engineers for rapid prototypingContribute to the company vision for nanofabrication of photonic devices Review process control and troubleshoot fabrication issuesRequired qualifications and experienceDegree in Physics, Engineering, Materials Science or a related field3+ years experience of nanofabrication in a cleanroom environmentExperience with broad nanofabrication suit, including optical and electron-beam lithography, dry and wet etching, thin-film deposition and SEM characterizationExperience with mask/GDS handlingDesirable ExperiencePhD Physics, Engineering, Materials ScienceExperience with fabrication of photonics or quantum technology componentsExperience with proximity correction softwareExperience with backend technology, e.g.
