MBA are proud to partner one of the UK's most innovative finance organisations in their search for an experienced Project Manager on a permanent basis.

As Project Manager role is to plan, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on.

You need experience of working in business 2 business as well as a direct to customer environment.
Where required you will support development resource planning and management as well as project budgeting.

In addition to the management of projects you will provide project office support - specifically in relation to the workflow management, regular projectreporting and benefits capture, measurement, and realisation.

Remote / Home working based position
(Offices across the UK including Milton Keynes, Leeds, Birmingham & London)
Project Manager - Responsibilities

  • Scope definition working with key stakeholders to ensure agreed before project moves forwards to requirements elicitation.
  • Planning and Sequencing of the project, ensuring that this is documented, agreed and kept up to date through to delivery.
  • Resource planning where required. Often utilising the same resources across multiple projects meaning efficient management of time is critical.
  • Time and cost estimation. Working with both business and technical experts to provide estimates allowing for key stakeholders to make scope and priority decisions across projects and supporting the CTO in overall planning and delivery.
  • Working with the business analyst and solution architect to ensure that all phases of the project have an appropriate level of documentation as agreed with the CTO and wider project team.
  • Identification and management of Risks and Issues. Ensuring these are documented and the appropriate mitigating actions established and where required executed.
  • Controlling quality through ongoing review of key documentation, oversight of delivery partners and ensuring that testing is completed to the highest standard possible.
  • Overseeing programme workflow and ensuring that our backlog is managed whilst providing support to ensure that the prioritisation process led by the CTO is running efficiently.
  • Ensure that projects are run to the standards agreed with the CTO, complete post implementation reviews to ensure appropriate rigour was applied.
Project Manager - Skills

  • To be successful in this role you need to have the relevant degree and /or evidence of continuous professional development in an IT role.
  • Have experience in managing projects and change large and small.
  • You need to have people management experience and proven track record in leading change.
  • You must have project management professional qualification and project management training / experience and detailed understanding of Agile and Waterfall change methodologies.
  • Also demonstrable experience and evidence of success in business change with a strong technology focus with multiple stakeholder groups with the ability to manage outsourced providers against agreed deliverables.
  • Managing multiple development teams against delivery plans and familiarity with project management tools and the ability to use them to support your role, specifically planning and workflow tools.
