The Trust wishes to appoint an ambitious and motivated individual to support the operational management of the Outpatient therapies Service within the Emergency, Medicine and Rehabilitation Services Division (EMRS).
This post will provide general operational management and business support to the Outpatient Therapy Services, including Adult MSK Physiotherapy, Hand Therapy, Pelvic health Physiotherapy and Surgical Appliances .
The post holder will be fully involved in planning and achieving the Service Objectives in line with divisional targets and trust strategy.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to work closely with senior clinicians, effectively manage performance against a range of standards and generate clear strategic plans for their services.
Work with the Outpatient therapies clinical leadership team, divisional management team, management teams of referrers into the service, CIS/IT, Outpatient transformation team, QI team, community services, to ensure the achievement of performance and other local and national clinical and non-clinical targets.
Work with the local, divisional and community management teams within specific clinical areas and in partnership with operational managers and clinicians to ensure the effective provision of consistent quality services.
Provide first line operational management to surgical appliances and administrative departmentsIn liaison with the Outpatient therapies Lead, ensure appropriate systems and processes are established in departments and areas to support the robust reporting and progress of governance, risk and safeguarding issues
Assist Outpatient therapies lead to manage designated financial resources within budget
Support the development of service line reporting and service line management

Management qualificationSubstantive management experience within a healthcare or related environment
Business planning Project and change management
Staff and performance management skills and the ability to deal promptly and appropriately with staffing issues as they arise
Project management and ability to deliver work on target and to tight deadlines
Advanced user of Microsoft Office
Able to use modelling tools and conduct statistical analysis
Financial and budget management skills
Knowledge of audit, clinical governance mechanisms & CQC standards
Knowledge of the NHS plan, NSF and modernisation and service improvement tools
Knowledge of Operational management, planning and commissioning guidelines and targets
