Are you a Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting children with additional needs? Do you enjoy breaking down barriers to education and making learning fun? This lovely special school in South Birmingham is looking for an experienced TeachingAssistant to on an experienced team.

This is an exciting opportunity to support children with additional needs at a supportive and nurturing school.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be providing 1-2-1 and small group support across Key Stage 3. You will be working with children who have a primary diagnosis of Autism and many have complex learning needs. This role requires a caring, supportive and dynamicTeaching Assistant who holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Job Role:

  • Supporting on a 121 basis within small classes of KS3 children with additional needs
  • Having a good understanding of a range of additional needs
  • Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
  • Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours
