Technical Author / Contract / 3 Months / Hybrid (3 office 2 remote) / London Office / Inside IR35

Circa £400 per day on experience

Tomorrow is working with the R&D division of a global digital media company to hire an experienced Technical Writer/Documentation Engineer to create clear, comprehensive documentation for our developer platforms and tools. The team are involved in developing products at the cutting edge of VR/AR technology and next-gen products.

In this role, you will author guides, tutorials, code samples and other technical content to help developers effectively use our SDKs, APIs and frameworks. Working closely with engineering teams, you will ensure accuracy while explaining complex concepts simply.

Responsibilities:

Write and maintain developer documentation, code examples, API references

Collaborate with engineering, product and support teams to gather requirements

Use markdown and source control to publish and manage content

Excellent technical writing and ability to decipher code

Requirements:

5+ years of experience writing technical documentation for developers

Background in SDK/API documentation

Skilled in using markdown, interpreting code samples

Project management skills to balance multiple streams of work

Self-motivated with great communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with game engines, web/mobile development or software infrastructure

Technical degree or related experience
