    An inspiring, well-qualified and enthusiastic part-time Teacher of Geography is sought to build on our existing success and record of achievement at KS4, A Level and Oxbridge.

    Bedales offers a unique KS4 course (BAC) with a bespoke curriculum and a range of assessment methods not available nationally at KS4.

    This role offers an opportunity for the right person to help develop this unique course -BAC Case Studies | Bedales Schooland join this innovative and academically successful Humanities faculty.

    Experience & BackgroundAn inspirational and encouraging teacher, you will have a good degree in Geography or a related area, with a proven track record of excellence in teaching.

    We encourage applications from ECTs and recently qualified teachers.

    You should also be keen to play an inclusive role in the life of our busy boarding community and be able to contribute to the development of our innovative school.

    A team player with good communication skills, you will have an enthusiastic approach in all of your dealings with pupils, colleagues and parents.

    TimetableYou will be timetabled to teach 22 lessons a week. The full teaching commitment is 32 lessons per week.

    Learning takes place throughout the day and encompasses tutoring, co-curricular activities, and support and extension sessions as well as subject lessons.

    Most core curriculum commitments for students are scheduled from 09:00 hrs to 17:30 hrs on Monday to Friday, and until 13.00 hrs on Saturday.

    Students also have access to optional activities before and after the main school day. Typically, students do not have core curriculum lessons scheduled on Wednesday afternoons.

    Bedales is a busy boarding school so work during the evenings, weekends and holidays may be required depending on the nature of the post.

    For part-time teachers lessons may not take place on the same day and may be spread across the week.
