As Warehouse Operative within our Flexibles UK division in Glenrothes, you will be actively involved in the receipt, internal movement of material and the packing of items required for despatch as per delivery requirements.

Maintaining a high level of accuracy in the recording of locations, identification and traceability of materials is essential to the role to ensure the efficient movement/shipment of stock.

You will work closely with the Manufacturing, Project, QA, Inspection and Fitting departments to assist in meeting tight manufacturing schedules and customer demands and communicating order discrepancies to the Buyer.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Organise stock areas to ensure that material is easily and safely accessible
  • Ensure items are located correctly with the relevant identification/traceability
  • Participate in routine stock checks
  • Receive incoming raw material, parts and other deliverables, both purchased and freeissue
  • Issue received purchased items to the relevant departments/recipients
  • Issue and receive parts to and from outsourced processes
  • Load and unloading of vehicles and lorries
  • Receive manufactured sub assembly parts into stock
  • Pick and issue raw material and finished sub assembly parts to manufacturing/assembly as per scheduled requirements
  • Pack parts or items for shipment in accordance with relevant procedures and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:


  • Counterbalance Forklift licence including experience with pipe handling would be an advantage
  • Banksman and slinging qualified (desirable)
  • Working in an MRP controlled stores environment (essential)

SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:


  • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook) (essential)
  • Basic ability to read engineering drawings, where applicable (desirable)
