    Our client is a much-loved womenswear High Street Retailer who are looking for Merchandisers to join their team.

    Due to growth, there are a number of opportunities available in the team and as well as Established Merchandisers, we are also open to speak to Juniors Merchandisers looking for the step up to Merchandiser, as well as entry level Senior Merchandisers.

    Managing Multi Channels and working closely with the buying team to create a commercial range, this role will be critical in forecasting and managing stock levels, markdowns, and option planning to ensure continued growth and to drive profit, whilst being commercial and innovative.

    Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    • Analysing, planning and forecasting, looking at sales performance, optimising on key performers and putting forth action plans to minimise risk on worst sellers, highlighting any potential issues to the Head of Merchandising
    • Trading to optimise lines and sign-off repeats as necessary.
    • Upkeep and maintenance of the WSSI meeting agreed KPI's.
    • Closely managing the OTB and management of the supplier base, understanding the supply chain and the advantages and disadvantages of the various sourcing bases
    • Liaising with the Buying Team to help create profitable ranges, and report figures to the team on a weekly basis, controlling profit and maximising margins.
    • Forward forecasting looking at historical data on best sellers and working with the buying team to ensure flow lines are maintained.
    • Be able to build and maintain strong working relationships across other business functions including Buying, Retail, Logistics and Finance

    Our client is looking for someone who:

    • A strong background and experience of working within a Fashion / Retail business within merchandising.
    • Exceptional planning and analytical skills, coupled with the drive to exceed expectations and be a natural strategic thinker.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
    • Excellent communication skills, being able to effectively communicate across the business.
    • You will have a diligent and well organised work ethic, be a self-starter and motivated as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Have a hand on and flexible approach to your work and the business, be a key team player and adapt as required within a dynamic environment.
    • Have a positive "can-do" attitude, be decisive with a strong commercial awareness.

    The ideal candidate would have experience within a fashion, lifestyle or FMCG business with experience of working within a dynamic Retail environment

    Please note this role is based on site in their Head Office: Monday-Friday – 9am-5pm
