Job Introduction

As an
Estates Supervisor at Sodexo Wythenshawe Hospital, you are also a skilled leader and problem solver, with the ability to manage a team and coordinate complex maintenance operations with ease.


In this critical role, you will ensure that all planned and reactive maintenance operations are carried out to a high standard, in accordance with relevant legislation and codes of practice.


Your efforts will contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the hospital facilities, ensuring that patients receive the highest levels of care.

The duties will be carried out across the Wythenshawe and Buccleuch Lodge sites as required.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the maintenance team, including scheduling and assigning work
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations and within specified timeframes
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
  • Keep accurate records and documentation of all work carried out
  • Monitor and report on team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
  • Manage the budget for the maintenance team, including purchasing and inventory management
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay uptodate with industry best practices
  • Will have a good working knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act 197
  • Must be able to communicate at management level.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in computer software programs such as Microsoft Office and CMMS
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
