    Manufacturing Engineer Position at G&H Torquay



    G&H Torquay is a rapidly expanding company specializing in the design and production of passive fibre-optic components, fibre lasers, and fibre optic modules for challenging environments like underwater and outer space.

    We are looking to hire a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Torquay. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing manufacturing processes, equipment, and procedures.

    You will collaborate with a diverse team to optimize manufacturing methods, tooling, fixtures, and process flow.

    • Leading the development of new processes and enhancement projects
    • Managing the specification, support, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment (CAPEX)
    • Assessing existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement
    • Overseeing the testing and replacement of outdated production materials
    • Requirements: Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or relevant experience, familiarity with Manufacturing Engineering teams and NPI environments, adept at self-prioritization in a dynamic setting, knowledge of Optics, Fibre Optics, Electronics, or Assembly manufacturing, experience with lean manufacturing and six sigma (DMAIC)
