    Tenancy Team Manager

    ROLE: Working from our on-site Bristol office, leading a team of front-line housing staff to provide an excellent service to residents. Supporting the team to manage tenancies of customers with varying housing needs. Ensuring Caridon is making a difference in housing.

    REPORTS TO: Operations manager

    REPORTS IN: 2 x housing officers, Administrator, community engagement officer, HB/UC officer.

    WORKING HOURS: Full time - 40 hours.

    DUTIES INCLUDE

    • Effective recruitment.
    • Monthly 1 to 1 with all direct reports.
    • Staff performance management.
    • Working collaboratively with building manager to maintain an efficient voids process.
    • Leading on safeguarding concerns.
    • Completing housing management monthly reports.
    • Complaints handling.
    • Serve notices
    • Liaise with legal team re court proceedings.
    • Cultivate good partnership working with external providers.
    • Effective management of portfolio budgets.

    SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ATTITUDE

    Essential

    • Experience of successfully managing a team.
    • Experience in Block Management and Social Housing
    • Good knowledge of tenancy legislation.
    • Ability to diffuse challenging situations.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
    • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
    • Good knowledge of Safeguarding.

    Desirable

    • Good knowledge of state benefits.
    • Chartered Institute of Housing qualification.
    • Previous experience working with a Local Authority.
