- In-depth knowledge of and experience with Databricks
- Azure experience ideally worked with tools such as Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake etc
- Experience with SQL is a must, some Python is a bonus
- Experience of working with a number of different data sources would be beneficial.
- Confident in providing technical leadership when necessary
- Able to gather requirements for a variety of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
- Previous experience of leading/mentoring junior team members

Lead Data Engineer - Azure/Databricks - £80-90,000
Scalexperts are partnered with a growing business who after making a few recent senior leadership hires in Data & Technology are now scaling their Data Engineering function.
They are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join them to work on building a brand new data platform which is still in early stage development. They are looking to combine all the data into one common data warehouse so that reporting & insight/analytics becomes much clearer and more consistent. This role would suit someone who is currently working as a Senior Data Engineer and who wants a role that allows them to step up into a leadership position, as the longer term plan for this role is to grow the team further.

The team operate a hybrid set up with 1 day/week in the office which is located in central London
