An exciting opportunity for a Alcohol and Non-Opiate Recovery Worker.


Our Southwark team are a vibrant and diverse group of seasoned service managers, expert consultant psychiatrists, dedicated doctors, nurturing nurses, efficient healthcare assistants, compassionate recovery staff, volunteers, effective administrators, and enthusiastic peer mentors.

Collaboratively, we are wholeheartedly devoted to delivering comprehensive support and medical care to individuals accessing our services.

Salary:
£27, £31,529.41 dependant on experience


Contract Type:
Fixed Term - 12 Months


Responsibilities:

As a valued member of our team in Southwark, you'll be taking on a central role with responsibilities including:

  • Offering support to service users from the point of entry into the service throughout their treatment journey.
  • Delivering targeted interventions to reduce harm from substances like Alcohol, GHB, Crystal Methamphetamine, and nonopiate drugs to the individual and the wider community.
  • Conducting screening, assessment, and developing recovery plans with onward referrals.
  • Minimising harm related to drug and alcohol use for both the individual and the wider community.
  • Advocating access to partnership services.
  • Collaborating with each individual to facilitate social (re)integration, empowering them to lead meaningful lives, emphasising recovery, resilience, peer support, and selfdetermination.

About You:


  • Strong understanding of substance misuse issues or experience in a similar field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with good IT proficiency.
  • Proactive with the ability to work independently, excellent time management, and prioritising skills.
  • Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
  • Supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with professionals, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage change prioritising the needs of service users.
  • Eagerness to seek learning opportunities for personal and professional growth and contribute to the development of others.
