    Our opportunity- Senior National Account Controller

    With our entrepreneurial spirit and drive to succeed we are seeking a dynamic Senior National Account Controller to join our team.

    This is an exceptional opportunity for an seasoned leader who drives the team to achieve while being responsible for developing existing accounts and adding new business to our already prestigious portfolio.

    You will be an experienced National Account Controller/Manager at Senior level in FMCG/Retail where you have worked in a dynamic and innovative business.

    We are seeking a high achiever with a proven background in successfully managing and developing national accounts, coupled with exceptional relationship building skills and a strong commercial acumen.

    This role will be office based once/twice per month minimum with a relocation package available if required.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Bring your passion and enthusiasm to grow existing clients, alongside generating new business
    • Live the Solent Values and work with your teams to drive the Vision
    • Agree and execute yearly sales and JBPs
    • Empower and develop your team, through coaching, training, and mentorship
    • Assigning, monitoring and coordinating project milestones and progress, with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Lead and plan the implementation of the project (resource, relationship, allocation)
    • Manage high volume SKU level CPA's (over 200 SKUs in totality)
    • Relentlessly pioneer the future and pursue ambitious growth opportunities in your customers
    • Be resourceful & employ innovative solutions to deliver value, gross margin & volume targets for your customers
    • Be great at the basics of strong account management, negotiation, reporting and objection handling
    • Work with all departments to ensure customer strategy is met
    • Formulate customer-specific sales plan/strategy, in-line with accountable budget, ensure costings are pre-checked and spec, packaging and recommended retail prices are correct
    • Work independently alongside a pre-set sales strategy to achieve account-specific budgets
    • Understand customer KPIs, and targets and review performance, with knowledge and proposals to reach category standards
    • Contribute to the wider sales team and support other colleagues with their accounts. Share your ideas and help contribute to team goals
    • Ensure visibility and feedback is maintained

    Experience

    • Minimum five years experience of working in FMCG National Accounts
    • Retail/FMCG experience essential, ideally top 6 grocery
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with strong relationship building acumen and excellent communication skills
    • Proven experience in generating new business along with maintaining existing client accounts
    • Passionate and driven to achieve exceptional results, adding value at every opportunity
    • Detail orientated with an ability to multi-task and set priorities
