We are looking for promising early-career researchers in high-pressure laboratory experiments and numerical modelling to explore the transport properties of Earth and planetary interiors.

The position is for a 2 years duration (with possible extension) Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Centre for Science at Extreme Conditions at University of Edinburgh.

**The Opportunity: The purpose of this position is to carry out and interpret measurements of transport in geophysical materials at extreme pressures and temperatures. This will be achieved using experimental measurements, numerical modelling, and geophysical analysis.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Ability to conduct high pressure experimental measurements.
- and/or _

  • Ability to use numerical techniques for experimental design, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Experience directly relevant to project scope (specify in cover letter).
  • Ability to work independently within a team of researchers from different fields. Publication of original research in peerreviewed journals.
