    MTF Client Account Manager Job Description

    About the role

    Reporting to the FIS Wealth (UK) Head of Client Experience, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships and managing commercial terms with FIS Wealth UK's Clients and overseeing the Account Management responsibilities of the Securities Finance service clients. This will involve being the senior subject matter expert for the Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF) and will oversee all aspects of the service delivery effectively whilst ensuring the signing of new subscribers to the service is aligned to the client onboarding requirements.

    Client Account Managers work closely with the client point of liaison, helping in the delivery of a consistently high level of service. Success will necessitate building an understanding of the client's business model and the services that we provide for them and recognising opportunities to cross-sell new and existing services across the client base. Strong communication skills are essential and the ability to build good working relations at all levels within a client organisation. Comfortable operating at senior management/executive level is a key role of the position.

    A track record of demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong planning and co-ordination skills are essential to ensure that business and commercial objectives are met with sufficient controls at all times.

    What you will be doing

    • You will support/coordinate the onboarding process for new subscribers to the service.
    • The role holder will provide oversight of the day-to-day MTF servicing, act as an escalation point to any client query, perform governance oversight through client service reviews and ensure any upgrades to the solution are managed with the correct business input and oversight.
    • You will liaise with a number of Corporate Clients and communicate effectively at all levels within those organisations.
    • Encourage and drive consistently high levels of service to Corporate Clients.
    • Recognise opportunities to cross-sell new and existing tools and services across the client base, by having a clear understanding and appreciation of the Corporate Client's strategic direction.
    • Ensure that all contracts and work orders are accurate and that the pricing is profitable and appropriate.
    • Manage conflict proactively and effectively, achieving pragmatic solutions.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and align and/ or integrate operational and business solutions.
    • Liaise with other business areas to ensure consistent and effective service delivery and effective onboarding.
    • Proactively manage disparate expectations and demands of different Corporate Clients.
    • Organise regular structured updates and reporting both to Corporate Clients and the Head of Client Experience.
    • Represent the stated interests and requirements of all Corporate Clients objectively in appropriate forums.
    • Be the business SME for the Securities Finance solution and lead on UK service delivery including model effectiveness, senior end to end service oversight and all audit enquiries.

    What you bring:

    • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
    • Ideally a background in Securities Finance, working in a similar role within Financial Services and knowledge of the associated regulations.
    • Experience of delivering exceptional client service and managing corporate relationships.
    • Knowledge of UK regulatory requirements; an understanding of securities lending & borrowing, MTF operations, brokerage operations.
    • Maturity, integrity and the ability to work independently to achieve objectives with the minimum of direction.
    • A familiarity with data analysis and performance metrics related to securities finance trading matters, including MTF and market access controls.
    • Excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Decision making in a high-pressured environment.
    • Self-motivated and a proactive with a can-do attitude.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Some exposure to sales would be an advantage.
    • Ability to build long lasting professional relationships with colleagues and Clients alike.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Results orientated and client focused.
    • Strong team player who works collaboratively with others.
    • Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
    • A familiarity with data analysis and performance metrics related to securities finance trading matters, including MTF and market access controls.
