Role:


Reporting to the security manager, working within this flagship building and prestigious environment in the City of London, you will support the delivery of a truly exceptional customer journey for both staff and visitors.

To achieve this, you will be well versed in the processes and practices of a Concierge and Security professional. Excellence in customer service will be at the heart of the role. You will be part of a well drilled security operation.


Responsibilities:


  • To monitor operational CCTV camera images within the Security Control Centre remit.
  • To effectively operate all operational CCTV Camera technologies.
  • Monitor operation via CCTV and on the ground for training purposes.
  • When the evacuation is complete and the system is restored, oversee reoccupation of premises via CCTV.
  • To effectively operate all operational Access Control technologies.
  • To prepare and maintain Security Control Centre equipment for operational use.
  • To operate all other associated security control room technologies (perimeter alarms/object alarms/access control alarms).
  • To interact with Emergency Services as required.
  • Observe the location of all security team members to enhance safety and provide best incident response resource solutions.
  • Perform monitoring tasks in line with all standing operational procedures.
  • Arrange the use of automatic camera and screen sequencing to increase the likelihood of detecting incidents.
  • Control the operation of all CCTV cameras to carry out necessary patrols.
  • Inspect equipment for failures and faults.
  • Arrange for the collation and viewing of CCTV images in response to incident investigation in line with the CCTV Code of Practise.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of all/any events.
  • Inform other team members of actions to ensure contingency of operations.
  • Communicate with operational staff concerning incidents, ensuring that all information escalation routines are observed.
  • Follow set procedures in the event of any incident/emergency event occurring.
  • Operation of the Control Room switchboard.
  • Provide and offer support to all regional business callers.
  • Providing an immediate response to any major/minor incident occurring within the operational region.
  • Follow any such reasonable instruction as issued by Security Supervisor.
  • Follow any such reasonable instruction as issued by Senior Line Management.
  • Sign control CCTV duty book.
  • Conduct daily camera audit.
  • Conduct radio and key audits.
  • Monitor camera/call point/disabled computer/Winmag.
  • Take ownership of the access control PC.
  • Take ownership of E-Link (locking and unlocking lifts).
  • Do daily isolations as instructed by Supervisor if required to do so.
  • Complete and update the Daily Occurrence Report.
  • Assist in Completing / preparing the shift handing over report as the day progress.
  • Drafting report of incidents to assist the Supervisor complete the incident report.
  • Follow any such reasonable instruction as issued by Security Supervisor.
  • Man, the Fire Phone monitor and answer calls from the Fire Phones.
  • When the evacuation is complete and the system is restored, oversee reoccupation of premises via CCTV.

OTHER DAILY SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ensure the security of people, premises, and property, protecting the reputation of the client/tenants throughout.
  • Ensure a safe and secure working environment for all.
  • Check identity and credentials of staff, contractors and visitors where required.
  • Record details of any suspected criminal activity on the premises (internal and external); commencing investigative procedures prior to onward reporting where necessary.
