Description

Our client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to join our team as a key partner to our business teams in United Kingdom.

Reporting to the Group General Counsel in their headquarters office based in Asia, you will play a criticalrole in driving the strategy of our client in the United Kingdom by providing legal inputs and advice whilst acting as the UKs first legal hire.


Responsibilities:


  • Understand the Group's strategic objectives as an owner, developer and investor of real estate, and provide pragmatic advice and solutions to internal clients on the full spectrum of real estate corporate and commercial matters.
  • Cover all legal and compliance matters for United Kingdom and Ireland.
  • Advise the Management team on all legal and compliance matters, including reviewing transaction agreements and ensuring that all transactional and operation activities are carried out in accordance with local legislations and regulations.
  • Work closely with the Group General Counsel on key documents, and keep Management uptodate with relevant changes in legislative and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:


  • Recognised degree in Law.
  • At least 8 years of postqualification experience in the relevant areas, with a strong emphasis on real estate, prior inhouse MNC experience is preferred.
  • Familiar with the United Kingdom and Irish laws including M&A, joint ventures, and real estate matters.
  • Possess strong transactional and management skills as well as a high level of integrity.
  • Possess intuitive communication and good interpersonal skills.
  • Exposure to complex real estate transactions or fund structures would be an advantage.
