    Main duties of the job

    The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of high standards of daily treatments and supporting service users in their recovery from drug or alcohol addiction. Working as part of an intergrated substance misuse team to deliver both clinical and psychosocial interventions at HMP Bronzefield.

    The service is delivered 7 days a week with flexible working on a rota basis

    Job responsibilities

    Role Overview

    To provide high-quality clinical assessment and treatment to substance dependantprisoners, working in partnership with HM Prison Service and all other stakeholders.

    You will ensure the delivery and monitoring of high standards of nursing care and relevantsubstance misuse interventions to all Service Users in accordance with the standards set outin the NMC Code of Conduct.

    As a Senior Nurse, you will demonstrate leadership and undertake managerialresponsibilities when required.

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • Registered nurse
  • 1-year minimum post registration experience
  • Desirable

  • Mentorship Qualification
  • Diploma/Degree in Substance Misuse or willing to undertake D A
  • Experience

    Essential

  • A Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience
  • Evidence of personal development since entering the NMC register
  • Knowledge of the safe storage and administration of medication
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and
  • act accordingly if concerns present themselves
  • Knowledge and ability to comply with the NMC Code of Conduct
  • Ability and knowledge to carry out risk assessments and
  • management
  • Strong IT Skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate patient records within the standards
