    A leading Higher Education institute based in London is recruiting an Employee Relations Advisor on a permanent four day per week contract. The role will join and Employee Relations team who are responsible for managing ER case work across the University.

    Job responsibilities:

    • Provide advice and guidance on employment-related matters including contractual issues, employee relations and HR related matters in accordance with HR policies
    • Provide guidance and advice on disciplinary, formal resolution and research misconduct investigations, supporting Investigating Officers with the conduct and format of meetings
    • Manage formal employee relations processes
    • Supporting and advising the chair/panel at disciplinary, probation, research misconduct and sickness absence hearings on the appropriate level of sanction up to and including dismissal
    • Develop and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external contacts, including trade unions
    • Deliver workshops on a range of ER related topics

    Candidate profile:

    • Currently holds, or working towards CIPD qualification
    • Experience of working with the Higher Education or the NHS sectors
    • Proven experience of dealing with and managing employee relations cases with minimal direction
    • Experience of dealing with trade unions and/or staff associations

    Salary: £43,309 - £52,558 (pro rata to £34,
