Description

We require a part-time Housekeeper on Ward C805 (Cardiology) to help us maintain a safe, tidy and efficient environment on our Ward.

The position is part-time, working fixed days on Thursday and Friday, 15 hours per week. Working times are 7am until 3 pm.

As a Housekeeper on ward C805, you will work in a supportive role, assisting the clinical nursing team to ensure the department runs smoothly.

You will need to be flexible, adaptable and have strong organisational skills.

Excellent communication skills are important as you will be liaising with teams throughout the hospital whilst working closely with the nursing team.

The You will be responsible for the ordering and organisation of ward stock, as well as an array of non-clinical tasks with additional duties as directed by the nursing staff.

You will work closely with the nursing team in a supportive role.

You will also be patient facing, taking patient food orders in the morning and ensuring this is done in a timely manner.

You will also be assisting the meal service to patients and ensuring this runs smoothly and caters for patients needs.

In addition, the role involves ward cleaning of clinical equipment - keeping the area tidy and clean, this is essential to maintaining the ward's high cleanliness audit scores.

Experience in Housekeeping is desirable but not essential.

You must have strong organisation, communication, IT and time management skills and be able to be innovative with a zest for new challenges as the department grows and develops new services.
