    Job Title: Bench Joiner / Cabinet Maker

    Location: At EAST JR's workshop in Bethnal Green E2 and installation on site in and around London

    Salary: £180-220/day based on experience and performance.

    Job Type: Full-Time

    EAST JR is a design focussed joinery company based in heart studio in the heart of East London.

    Our projects and clients are as diverse as our team, from high end retail brands and creative residential projects to local businesses and big art institutions.

    We've steadily built a consistent and sustainable pipeline of interesting projects over the past few years with a tight knit team of designers, makers and project managers and we're looking to expand our team to cater for this.

    The Role

    The Bench Bench Joiner / Cabinet Maker will work closely with our designers to take on the build and installation of medium sized projects including wardrobes, media/storage units, kitchens, cafe bars/counters amongst other things. They will also assist our head joiner with making and installing larger projects enabling us to meet deadlines and maintain the high level of quality our clients expect from us.

    They will be proactive, have 5-10 years of experience, be willing to speak with customers, have their own tools, enjoy working as part of a team, be able to build a kitchen or wardrobe from start to finish, and communicate well.

    Responsibilities In More Detail

    Bench Joinery and Cabinet making

    -Proactively plan the project alongside our in house designer/project manager with information

    -Delegate more repetitive machining and finishing tasks to our trainees where appropriate

    -Work within timelines set by the client and wider team

    -Flag issues in advance and solve problems as they arise

    -Maintain a high level of quality and detailing

    Installation

    -Successfully prep kit required for site installation

    -Protect and care for other finished surfaces on site

    -Meet with client to keep them informed and aware of timelines and potential issues

    -Relay information back to the workshop where extra items are required
