    About the Role

    Base Location:
    Glasgow / Perth

    Salary:
    £40,600- £61,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

    Our Role

    The Renewables business has grown significantly in recent years and now has activity across six technologies and nine different countries.

    With ambitious plans to grow further, it is imperative that senior management maintain strong control over and understanding

    of the business's cost base. As such, the

    Senior FP&A Analyst

    role has been created to support the business in this regard.

    You will take a lead role in performing all aspects of financial planning and analysis for the consolidated SSE Renewables business unit's operational expenses, including staff costs and headcount.

    You will therefore have exposure to all the SSER core operational


    and development & construction businesses (Offshore Wind, Onshore Wind, Hydro & Pumped Storage, and Solar & Batteries) as well as the supporting functions.

    You will work closely with the Financial Control team and the Finance Business Partnering team to ensure that valuable and insightful information is provided to key business stakeholders.

    The role is varied, and you will work on a range of different workstreams, however your recurring responsibilities will include:
    Monthly Management Reporting and detailed cost reporting
    Headcount & staff cost reporting
    Variance /Trend analysis including Deep dive analysis
    Annual budgeting process, monthly forecasting and long term planning and scenario analysis
    Supporting finance business partners on wide range of value-add projects.
    What do I need?
    To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
    Highly proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint including working with large and complex data sets
    Highly proficient in turning raw financial data into insightful finance presentations
    Can demonstrate a proactive approach to delivering value add analysis and insights
    Self-motivated, independent worker with a track record of adding value, creating efficiencies, and improving processes
    Confident and articulate communicator with experience of delivering financial presentations to non-finance stakeholders

    In addition to the above you will be a strong communicator, professional and diligent, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure, whilst never compromising on the quality of your work.

    You will be flexible, adept at managing expectations

    and be able to adapt to changing business needs.
