    Description
    Here at Marlborough Highways we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our fantastic team, with a strong background in highways, construction or utilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering successful projects, building and maintaining effective teams, as well as leading others, supporting and driving training and development.

    Key Responsibilities

    • To represent the company in the delivery of projects
    • To ensure the delivery of all works safely
    • Responsible for agreeing project targets in accordance with objectives with Contracts Director/Manager for all elements of the project
    • Accountable for managing, building, developing and supporting the wider team
    • Must build and maintain good relationships with the client, as well as all internal and external stakeholders
    • Build and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Monitor progress with up to date programmes so that timely and clear direction can be given to the team on critical contract/financial targets
    • Responsible for the development, management and maintenance of the Site Management Plan
    • Identifying and evaluating risks, determining and managing actions and maintaining Risk Register
    • Responsible for managing and controlling changes to scope, requirements, personnel etc
    • Accountable for monitoring progress against cost plans, programmes and quality/environmental plans
    • Manage all stakehlder engagement
    • Develop and protect our subcontractor relationships
    • Prepare and present project reports
    • Liaise with line management regarding approvals and decisions at key stages within project
    • Responsible for preparing and maintaining project information


    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

    • Proven technical and project management abilities
    • Strong organisational and management skills
    • Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations
    • Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work
    • Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment
    • Sufficient experience required in construction/highways
