- As a Lead/Principle level cost engineer, candidates are required to have a minimum of 10 15 years experience working in a similar role Nuclear industry experience or experience in a relevant field ONC/HNC/HND in related engineering or accounting discipline or a degree qualification
- Appropriate experience in an engineering and/or construction company environment dealing with the financial, cost and contract control of engineering design, procurement of materials, equipment and services, manufacture, delivery and site implementation and construction
- Maintenance of complete and accurate reporting, on a routine basis, of cost control data on a specific project.
- Proactively forecast, trend and analyse software, hardware and construction cost using EVA techniques and all other available data
- Identify cost variances as early as possible and report issues to the Project Manager/Project Control Manager and develop mitigation strategies.
- Recognise the impact risks & opportunities will have on the Estimate At Completion.
- Maintain communications and dialogue with other Project Control personnel (planners, document controllers, estimators) to help ensure excellence in delivery of Project Control function.
- Issue project cost reports in accordance with the requirements of the Principal Cost Controller / Project Manager,/ Project Control Manager, Project Execution Plan and the Business Operating Procedures (Including Project Finical Statement, Procurement Cost Report, and cost flows) As required by the Project Manager/Project Control Manager, attend internal and external project progress reviews.
