    We are looking for an experienced Medical Claims Assessorwith Group Claims experience to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract.

    Working on either a hybrid basis in our Hove office or completely Homebased with a salary of up to £40,000 dependant on experience.

    In this role, you'll provide pro-active and comprehensive claims assessment and management services for a defined account portfolio, and determining liability with your authority level.

    Assessing and triaging Group Protection claims, determining what medical evidence to obtain in line with L&G's philosophies.

    Providing a comprehensive assessment of Group Protection claims and determining liability, while meeting the expectations of our clients and stakeholders.

    Assisting in the provision of Management Data on portfolio accounts which analyses performance and identifies key trends.
    Training, mentoring, and developing other members of the claims team.
    Understanding of medical conditionsand the effect these can have on an individual's ability to work.
    Extensive legislative and regulatory knowledge including- Finance Act 2004, Equality Act, Employer Law, DWP State Benefits, HMRC rules relating to Life and Pensions products, Data Protection Act, Financial Ombudsman Service
    analytical and risk management skills; ability to be creative and strategic thinking.
    Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and IT savvy.
