    Lockton are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join the Professional and Financial risk division in London.

    Lockton Personal and Financial Risks – Role purpose

    Work with the Chief Operating Officer, Managing Partner and Divisional Executive Committees in the assigned division to ensure that financial goals are exceeded and Lockton Principles are adhered to. Participate in the development, communication and implementation of the strategy for the division. Support, challenge and collaborate with the leadership to deal with the challenges they face in growing successful businesses. Support direction and structure for the division and participate in developing policy and strategic plans at both the division and wider corporate levels.

    Role responsibilities will include:

    • Responsible for understanding, accepting and promoting the Lockton culture remaining consistent with the organisation's philosophies and mission statement
    • Support the Chief Operating Officer and senior management in enforcing that the Lockton Companies Corporate Operating Principles are understood and implemented in the division
    • Responsible for working with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure that the budgeting process is conducted in an effective and timely manner with the results effectively communicated and consolidated within the business plan
    • In conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner monitoring financial performance and forecasting against budget, developing plans to take remedial action where appropriate.
    • Ensure that the regulators Principles for Businesses and the Commitments are understood by all Partners and Associates and that these are implemented through Lockton International's Procedures, Work Instructions and Compliance regime
    • Facilitate the sharing of best practice in financial and operational performance between the divisions
    • Support the Chief Operating Office with conducting supervisory meetings with leadership teams to ensure clear and consistent reporting of operational issues in accordance with the compliance regime
    • Assist in meeting for exceeding external and internal customer expectations
    • Support the Chief Operating Officer and senior management in the satisfactory resolution of any financial or business disputes that may arise between Partners, Business Units, other offices or areas requiring an 'arbiter'
    • Work with the corporate Shared Services group to ensure that divisional goals and objectives are achieved and aligned with the best interests of corporate goals and objectives
    • Support the Chief Operating Officer in working with business units to assess and develop their productivity, effectiveness and performance
    • Support the Chief Operating Officer working with other Lockton International functions in the development and implementation of appropriate practices and procedures designed to maximise client satisfaction and meet our compliance obligations

    • Minimum of 3 years experience in an operational role ideally within the insurance sector
    • Ability to build and maintain good business relationships with clients, insurers and Associates
    • Knowledge of the resources available within Lockton and how to source such services
    • Support senior management to identify developmental needs for Associates
    • Firm understanding of Human Resource policies and procedures and ability to implement and/or know when to escalate
    • Effective delegation, as appropriate
    • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with clients, insurers and other Associates
    • Ability to manage time, prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with Associates at all levels
    • Ability to compile, analyse and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision making
    • Proven problem solving skills, including the ability to resolve unusual and complex issues and then devise actionable solutions in conjunction and at the direct of senior management
    • A thorough knowledge of regulations and guidelines relating to both commercial and retain customers
    • A thorough understanding of and adherence to Lockton standards and procedures
    • Ability to develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure the performance of Associates necessary for excellence in client delivery and satisfaction
    • An understanding of Lockton cash collection processes including but not limited to general insurance accounting and client invoicing
