Description

Charing Cross Hospital is a tertiary referral centre for oncology, head and neck surgery and neurosurgery in addition to providing general services to the local population.

We are a busy, friendly department fully accredited for training in Intensive Care Medicine. Charing Cross Hospital benefits from excellent transport links and has easy access to Central London.

We are part of Imperial College University, which is ranked 9th in the world and top in the UK for critical care research.

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust was recently featured on the BBC documentary series "Hospital."

Applicants must have GMC registration and have completed foundation training or equivalent post graduate training.

In addition the applicant must have successfully completed (or at least in part) postgraduate examinations This post would suit an applicant at SHO level or an applicant who wishes to gain experience in a teaching hospital ICU prior to specialty training.

Overseas applicants are welcome and this post may be available for Tier 2 visa holders.

As part of our continued response to Covid19 we are still conducting the majority of our interviews virtually.

The successful applicant will join a team of junior doctors and consultants who provide cover to the ICU. You will join the resident rota providing care for patients in ICU. All juniors are welcome to get involved in research and audit activity within the department. All rotas are new junior doctor contract compliant.
