Stock & Procurement Lead

Who are we?

Newmedica are one of the leading providers of NHS ophthalmology services in England, providing outpatients appointments, diagnostic testing and eye surgery.

We aim to change lives through better sight and eye health.

We care for thousands of NHS and private patients a year in our specialist eye clinics across the country.

We have significant growth plans over the next few years as we look to establish a national footprint and open many new sites across the UK.

We are thrilled to say that following an independently conducted survey of Newmedica colleagues, we have been certified as a Great Place to Work.

This is a global benchmark that recognises employers who create an outstanding employee experience.

Role Overview
We are looking for a Stock & Procurement Lead to join our Norwich site. This role will be 40 hours over 5 days per week, including weekends on a rota basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the service maintains the correct level of clinical & non-clinical stock by working closely with the Consultants, Management team and the Operational Director.

The Stock & Procurement Lead is a key member of our team, taking regular stock level checks for the business and continuously looking for financial opportunities to ensure that our service is cost effective.

You will be placing orders, processing stock through the Stock Management System and liaising externally with key suppliers to maintain our stock levels.

You will also be involved in assisting forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out of stock.

You will have a friendly and accessible personal manner and will be able to deliver an effective service to Newmedica Norfolk.

Working within small teams, you will maintain and enhance processes, and maximise quality and efficiency.

Newmedica Norfolk has developed a strong relationship with the local ICB and neighbouring Trusts, and this post will be a pivotal part of that ongoing relationship.
