An excellent opportunity to join our Glasgow based client as a Financial Business Analyst.

Reporting to the head of commercial finance, you will be part of a team to providing data analysis and assessment of new and planned business opportunities acrossthe company by presenting reports and findings to financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with the team to develop business models for new opportunities.
Assessing the profitability and revenue of new opportunities.
Providing analysis of models produced, highlighting the difference between actual and the model.
Understanding financial models from a budgeting and forecasting perspective.
Analysing key contracts and how they are performing in reality.
Partnering with financial and nonfinancial stakeholders to obtain the information necessary to provide corresponding analysis and results for the business.
Providing suggestions for areas of improvement based on analysis and results.

Applicants will have advanced excel and analytics skills in order to deal with high volumes of data, with a minimum of 3 years' experience.

SQL experience is advantageous but not essential. This role is suitable for qualified, qualified by experience offinancial/business analysts.

Ideally you will have commercial modelling experience gained within a financial environment and have the ability to build and produce necessary reports.

Moreover you will have an inquisitive mindset with excellent stakeholder engagementskills to confidently challenge and present existing and new business ideas to the wider business.

The role will be based at the client's modern offices in Glasgow City Centre, and they have a hybrid working model to support home working.
