ServiceNow Technical Architect

Up to £650 a day - 6 Month Contract

About the Role


We are looking for an experienced & proven ServiceNow technical specialist to take a leading role in the client's ServiceNow team.

You will be responsible for identifying best practice architectural solutions and will oversee end-to-end IT designs for changeand transformation projects, as well as day-to-day operational solutions.

This is a hands-on role and would suit someone with a developer background either looking for a step into architecture or who Is currently a hands-on architect.


You will be expert for the technical design of solutions for the ServiceNow platform, ensuring any technical solution adheres to relevant standards and best practice, is resilient where possible and that the security of any integrations and interfaces meetsecurity requirements.


Responsibilities include:


  • Create and be accountable for IT solutions that are fit for purpose, meet business requirements, deliver value for money and are compliant with IT Architecture Blueprints, and accessibility standards, to achieve excellent results ensuring smooth transitionand zero disruption to operational services whilst creating, refining and challenging patterns, standards, policies, strategy, roadmaps and vision statements.
  • Provide technical guidance to create and maintain a strategic Roadmap for the ServiceNow platform ensuring that the technology is reviewed regularly and in line with latest industry standards, delivering excellent services to the business, with out of thebox implementations.
  • Mentoring and supporting the wider ServiceNow team members.
  • Keep up to date with ServiceNow platform capabilities, best practice, new developments and trends
  • Liaise and maintain professional relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders working with business analysts to turn requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide insight into licence compliance and usage to ensure that appropriate licences are purchased and kept up to date to obtain best value for the organisation.

Desirable Experience:


  • Proven experience as a key technical resource leading the development of solutions in areas such CSM, ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, Integrations etc.
  • Exeprience of ServiceNow ESC Portal & Data structure a MUST
  • Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc) and of working in a SaaS environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical components such as LDAP, VPN, SSL and other such technologies.
  • Excellent Knowledge of disciplined software release build/deploy processes
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong ability to demonstrate analytical and problemsolving skills with excellent verbal, written and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) around all key technical decisions during project delivery with outstanding results.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor staff in development and release management relative to the Service Now platform to drive quality, value and best practice.
  • Thorough understanding of ITIL processes, Agile & DevOps and best practice approaches.
