We are looking for Pursuit Leaders to support the growth in capability and operational delivery of our Systems Integration business within EMEA.

Systems Integration is an integral part of Digital Consulting within the Consulting Business Unit of Wood.

Systems Integration is one of the largest in the world specializing in Automation, Digital Integration and Networks and Cybersecurity.

We work across the life cycle of assets; from early consulting and FEED to turnkey execution.

Projects vary in size depending on client requirements; consulting (technical expertise, early project support, advisory), systems integration (integrated client teams, program / project / package management through execution and handover) and Main Automation Contractor (turnkey delivery of automation packages).

We welcome applicants from across the UK, with flexibility on location. Wood has several offices throughout the UK and can offer hybrid working opportunities. Travel will be required to visit colleagues, customers and sites.


The Role


The Pursuit Leaders will work alongside our Business Managers, G&D Account Managers and Subject Matter Experts to shape and support our System Integration offering to prospective customers across a range of markets, including Oil and Gas, Energy Transition, Refining and Chemicals.

You will work alongside the Wood Growth and Development team, expanding, tracking, and monitoring our sales pipeline to support the ongoing success and sustainable growth of the business.


As a Pursuit Leader you will have the expert knowledge to identify market trends and client-specific opportunities for a range of Wood proprietary digital solutions.

You will be responsible for the identification, validation and leadership of key prospects and opportunities.

The role will require someone who can lead the development of win strategies and market engagement plans to support long term sustainable growth.


In this role you will interact with several key stakeholders, including external clients, the business unit leadership team and the broad internal network within Wood's global framework.

You will have responsibility to transition scopes into the delivery team ensuring smooth transition and project start up.

  • Deliver Systems Integration growth in the areas of responsibility through close collaboration with Business Development
  • Develop and own business plan, and drive sales, bid and tender activity, particularly in the areas of Oil and Gas, Energy Transition, Refining and Chemicals
  • In support of continued growth, ensure that the organisation develops responsive, dependable and cost effective services, servicing target markets, collaborating across business units and business groupings, and actively leveraging Wood solutions to address customer needs
  • Foster and enhance customer relationships with open, honest and effective communications. Work with customerfacing teams to improve scope of work / offering, understand and deliver customer required level of services
  • Be an ambassador for collaboration by working with the Wood Growth and Development team representatives and other business units on strategic project pursuits
  • Oversees proposals and calloffs (may be individual projects) within delegation of authority, ensuring compliance with contracting policy and standards of ethical conduct
  • Experience of UK and Middle East would be of particular interest
  • Demonstratable experience in securing and delivering automation related solutions
  • A collaborative team member, with a proactive and outcomedriven approach
  • Demonstrates the capabilities to keep up with multisector industry trends, developments, and technologies
  • The ability to make decisions and follow through, ensuring learnings are captured
