    An incredible opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Head Teacher to join a specialised school based in Hounslow.

    The school provides tailored education and support to young people aged who face Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties, Autism and have an EHCP in place.

    As an Assistant Head Teacher, you will play an integral role in supporting the Head Teacher in managing and leading the school and providing exceptional education and care to all students.

    This highly rewarding role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people who need it most.

    Collaborate with the Headteacher and other key staff to help shape the direction of the school and ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning.


    • Provide guidance and support to teachers to deliver outstanding and tailored education experiences to students with SEMH and Autism.
    • Drive professional development initiatives, offering mentorship and resources to help teachers excel in their roles
    • To guide in developing and managing the teaching and learning of key student groups
    • To perform teaching duties and other assigned tasks as directed by the Headteacher
    • Support with the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
    Qualified teacher status and special education needs experience- Experience in a specialist or mainstream school is welcome.

    • Applicants seeking a step up from middle leadership to senior leadership are encouraged to apply, and previous experience as a Senior Leader would be an advantage but not a requirement.
    • Having experience leading school improvement with a clear understanding of what constitutes an outstanding provision, and the ability to support and develop towards this goal.
    • A track record of outstanding teaching and a deep understanding of best practices in special education
    • Holds a good understanding of the new Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and Independent School Standards
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
    • A desire for continuous professional development in special education
