Description

Are you an experienced Project Support Officer looking for a new role working with a dynamic team within a public sector organisation.

You will be working with HR / Procurement projects in a public sector environment.

You will


  • Collaborate with senior managers (e.g. Heads of Service and Service Managers) and other colleagues across the council (e.g. HR and Transformation) to identify and evaluate potential opportunities for innovative solutions to attract and retain staff.
  • Carry out regular research and benchmarking into the reward packages offered by other councils to ensure the council has an up-to-date knowledge of the market, and use this to inform the on-going review of existing recruitment and retention arrangements.
  • Analyse the effectiveness of recruitment and retention arrangements by reviewing the outcome of recruitment activity,employee turnover and retention rates to inform the decision-making process around recruitment and retention arrangements.
  • Provide information, data and analysis and develop business cases for inclusion in reports in support of recommendations to decision-making bodies (e.g. CSOLT, CMT and General Purposes Committee).
  • Manage the process for recruitment and retention payments to ensure these are made in a timely manner and in line with agreed eligibility criteria and conditions.
  • Identify trends and issues with the progression of key activities within the end-to-end recruitment cycle and escalate these at an early stage to minimise delays in the recruitment process, alongside solutions if available.
  • Develop and maintain a system for capturing, tracking and actively progressing interest from agency workers in becoming permanent employees to maximise the conversion rate.
ANY EXPERIENCE OF WORKING WITHIN PROCUREMENT / HR PROJECTS WOULD BE A GREAT ADVANTAGE

£36,000.00-£37,038.00 per year
