A global leader in analytical laboratory equipment are currently seeking a Technical Specialist to support customers with their instrumentation range that are used to determine the structure and characteristics of materials.

Their innovative, precision instruments are used to understand the physical and chemical properties of a material's outermost layer. It involves studying factors such as composition to gain insights into the surface's behaviour, properties, and performance. This information is crucial in various fields, including materials science, chemistry, and engineering, as it helps in designing and improving materials and products for specific applications.

Main Responsibilities

· Offer initial technical assistance for incoming inquiries related to the product range.

· Assess and cultivate incoming leads to support sales colleagues

· Assist with customer demonstrations and application development as needed.

· Engage in conferences and exhibitions.

· Oversee the operation of the demonstration laboratory.

· Contribute to the creation of marketing communications for customer outreach.

Key Candidate Requirements

· Candidates should possess a degree in chemistry, physics, life sciences or a related field (or equivalent experience).

· Knowledge or experience using materials science laboratory techniques highly desirable.

· Confident communicator with the ability to have effective conversations with laboratory managers, researchers, technicians.
