Haulfryn family has a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager who will work closely with the CFO and Head of Finance to provide Haulfryn integrity and transparency of our accounting books and records and assume responsibility for production of annualaudit and statutory accounts and approvals.

This is a leadership role initially as a key member of the finance team and assumes responsibility for the transactional team.

What Will You Do

  • Keep and maintain all accounting books and records for the Group
  • Production of annual statutory Accounts and manage the annual audit and be responsible for all regulatory returns.
  • Provide a strong culture of financial governance and stewardship and ensure Haulfryn has a robust financial infrastructure:
  • Ensure Balance Sheet accounts are regularly and properly reconciled to ensure full visibility of the company's Assets & Liabilities
  • Ensure cash and debt is correctly recorded and reconciled, with reconciling items investigated and managed
  • Ensure accuracy of Income Statements
  • Provide leadership over financial accounting matters, and ensure our finance systems and processes allow us to operate effectively with accurate and timely information
  • On joining the role will be focused on financial accounting matters, but within 6 months following the successful migration to a new ERP system and upgrade in our Microsoft Dynamics platform, the role will likely assume management and leadership of thetransactional accounting team, in all aspects.
  • Proactively lead and manage transactional team, raise the calibre into a top quartile team which is fully engaged, and where the wider business proactively recognizes the service provided to them.
  • Seeks advice and input becoming the businesses partner and council
  • Continually seek to improve processes and other finance systems to optimize the control environment (such as PO processes) and produce month end management accounts within 3 working days

What Will You Bring

  • Qualified Accountant, with 5 years PQE
  • Strong blend of hands on technical and people skills to formulate appropriate controls and translate into credible outputs, with in depth knowledge of Working capital management
  • Working knowledge and understanding of tax, particularly VAT and Corporation Tax
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills, a team leader and people developer
  • Customer orientated approach to business wide support
  • Excellent communicator, able to build rapport and strong relationships quickly as well as present complex situations in a simple manner
  • Must be credible and impressive in front of stakeholders
  • Problem solver as part of a cross functional solution, analytical with good attention to detail
  • Ideally from multisite leisure and hospitality sector
  • A proactive selfstarter, able to work to tight timelines
