Richmond Pharmacology is a leading medicines research organisation based in the heart of London, engaged in the testing of new medicines targeting both rare disease areas and those diseases that impact huge global populations.


We conduct clinical trials on a multitude of volunteer panels including healthy young, elderly, Japanese and patients from primary and secondary care; to develop new medicines, treatments and cures for the future, helping to improve the quality of life for others.

Medical Writers are directly responsible for the generation of high-quality medical copy, working across multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.


Medical Writers understand key sponsor requirements and ensuring that copy is delivered on time and within budget, but also proactively contributing to ways to improve Richmond Pharmacology's service.


Key Responsibilities include:


Communication

  • Understand the purpose and role of communications in the wider therapy area and commercial landscape
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly to different audiences through a variety of media (print and digital)

Organisation and Planning

  • Keep the Project Management team informed regularly on project status, ensuring that any issues are flagged in a timely manner with solutions proposed and discussed
  • Recognise that each of your tasks form part of a wider project, and ensure that your team are kept up to date with your progress and task completion, in order to action their own responsibilities

Scientifically Savvy

  • Ensuring factual accuracy in all content development
  • Demonstrating knowledge of client data and how to communicate effectively to a wider range of audiences

Collaboration and Building Relationships

  • Establish excellent sponsor relationships through attending planning calls in conjunction with the wider team
  • Participate in account planning meetings

Experience

  • Degree in Life Sciences
  • Experience writing for a variety of audiences
  • Experience building strong client partnerships through their work
  • Worked in a fastpaced environment
  • Experience working in an agile environment
