    To be responsible for booking patient appointments within the Endoscopy Department in a way that minimises waiting times and meets cancer, diagnostic and 18 week National targets.

    TBC Main duties of the job Responsible for booking all referrals on to eCAMIS within 48 hours of arrival in the office Book appointments in a timely fashion using the Endoscopy booking system (HICSS)and using own judgement to allocate to correct Endoscopy list Send out appointment letters ensuring correct insertions and bowel prep are enclosed Create and transfer all e-notes through the use of CRT procedure.

    You will be required to walk the notes over to health records.

    Ensure all lists are filled to capacity and liaise with the Endoscopy Supervisor so that any problems or queries are highlighted Ensure all note, wristbands and admission packs are ready for the day of admission Liaise with wards ensuring correct paperwork is sent to the wards for inpatient referrals Respond to telephone calls and enquiries from patients, wards and medical staff in an efficient and courteous manner and respond accordingly Check procedure reports and ensure all outpatient and any other follow up appointments are made deal promptly with incoming correspondence and ensure referrals are viewed by consultants as necessary Admit, discharge and transfer patients on eCAMIS Assist with any other duties within the office and department as required Working for our organisation Our values define who we are as #TeamUHD.

    Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Basic computer and keyboard skillsGCSE in English or equivalent Desirable criteria RSA III or equivalent Experience Essential criteria Previous clerical experience within a busy office, working under pressure and to strict deadlinesAbility/experience to work in a demanding environment Desirable criteria eCAMIS/ WLM/ OPS/HICSS trained EPR Knowledge Essential criteria Able to work flexibly according to the needs of the service Desirable criteria Knowledge of Endoscopy procedures Language requirement Essential criteria Be able to speak English as necessary to undertake the role
