    This role is within a unit where Surrey Police and Sussex Police work in collaboration, whilst remaining two separate legal entities/employers with different terms and conditions.
    Both Surrey Police staff and Sussex Police staff are employed in this unit on their own force terms and conditions.
    Successful candidates may be appointed on the terms and conditions of employment of either Surrey Police or Sussex Police, depending on organisational requirements. A discussion will be held with the successful candidate to confirm the details of location, salary, allowances and hours.

    The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

    The Role & Key Responsibilities

    Surrey and Sussex Police are looking for a keen and enthusiastic newly graduated surveyor who is looking to take their first step into their chosen career path.

    The role requires a natural self-starter who is able to assist in:

    • Surrey and Sussex Police estates acquisitions and disposals.

    • Lease and land management.

    • Management of telecoms installations and licences

    • Maintaining the Estates Asset register and AutoCAD library

    • The delivery of a high quality and consistent service to customers, in-line with clearly defined service specifications and in accordance with service level agreements (SLA) where appropriate.

    • Ongoing and regular reviews of services and introduction of innovation and efficiencies.

    Base location can either be Surrey or Sussex HQ, but a driving licence & a means of transport is essential, as there will be requirement to travel throughout Surrey & Sussex.

    Skills & Experience

    · Educated to Foundation Degree, NVQ L4, HND or equivalent experience.
    · Experience or education in managing Asset registers / CAFM.
    · Membership of appropriate professional body e.g., RICS (Desirable)
    · 1+ years' experience of managing data within an Estates and/or Facilities environment.
    · Strong planning and organising skills with the ability to manage to deadlines.
    · Excellent presentation skills.
    · Knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery planning and risk management.
    · Evidence of an up-to-date and ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) plan including reference to all designated Professional Competences
    · The ability to work in a creative, proactive, and innovative way, collaborating with others to identify new and imaginative ideas to achieve strategic organisational objectives.
    · Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD, Excel, Word and PPT.
    · Knowledge of Visio and Microsoft Power BI (desired).
    · Capability to critically analyse, evaluate and develop existing processes and systems to maximise the team's operational effectiveness, including suggesting improvements. · Knowledge of office safety.
