    An exciting Mechanical Inspector position has become available in Poole working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    The successful candidate will be working with experienced Inspectors conducting inspection operations within the KANBAN manufacturing facility, identifying non-conforming product and ensuring product non conformity is managed.

    In-house training will be provided to the successful candidate with alongside experienced Inspectors.

    Job Title: Trainee Mechanical Inspector

    Shift: Days

    Rate: £ £15.00 per hour, depending on experience

    Duties will include (but not limited to):

    • Conduct inspection (visual and mechanical) within the KANBAN manufacturing facility.
    • Register inspection transactions into the MRP system.
    • Record & report all internal & supplier defects within the KANBAN manufacturing facility.
    • Ensure where unavoidable errors occur, they are detected as early as possible during the manufacturing process and not at the pre-treatment or final inspection stage.
    • Assist in conducting visual and physical inspection activity on the workshop as daily routine patrol .
    • Ensure the KANBAN process flow is un-interrupted and required delivery schedule per specified dates/day is supported. Implement minor touch ups when required.

    Duties more specific to this role:

    • Conduct goods in inspection.
    • To support all Inspection activity when requested.
    • Booking in sub contract parts.
    • Pre-Process Inspections.
    • Identify and report non confirming products and arrange rework where required.
    • Final inspection all Kanban kit deliveries prior to dispatch.
    • To support the manufacturing process & ensure production is not delayed.

    The ideal candidate:

    • Previous experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
    • Mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent is a bonus.
    • A methodical and systematic approach to tasks.
    • Good communicator, verbally and written.
    • Keen attention to detail and focused on driving results.
