IT Technician

Salary Circa: £26,000

Location: Newport

Onsite

Provide top-tier service to users and efficiently engage with third parties to maintain smooth operation of business systems. The organsiation are going through a very exciting Big Digital Transformation

Key responsibilities include:

• Promptly address hardware and software issues within Service Level Agreement timeframes.
• Escalate incidents to higher support levels when necessary.
• Facilitate ongoing communication between users, their managers, and IT support regarding service issues.
• Offer technical advice and guidance on IT hardware and software.
• Conduct periodic reviews of helpdesk issues to identify trends and root causes, contributing to departmental training reviews.
• Ensure all IT equipment and commercial software are suitable for office use and users are proficient in their use.
• Procure and implement new systems and services as needed, collaborating with internal partners and third-party vendors.
• Assist IT Manager in maintaining corporate applications, servers, Wi-Fi, and infrastructure security.
