Some of your key accountabilities will be:

  • To develop and implement the strategic direction for supplier performance, terms compliance and cost management working with managers at Severn Trent
  • To identify and create value through the management of supplier relationships and contract performance though regular performance reviews & management of contract MI, SLA and KPI measures
  • To support the onboarding of new suppliers to make sure they have the right competencies and capacity to deliver works efficiently, effectively, and safely
  • To develop, own and implement the strategic direction for supplier performance, contractual compliance and cost management in consultation with stakeholders in the Supply Pipes Team
  • Establish and demonstrate best practice commercial expertise
  • To support the Procurement Senior Category Manager in the development and delivery of procurement strategies, sourcing events and negotiations to create a sustainable, safe, efficient, and effective supply chain
  • To promote STW's sustainability and carbon reduction ambitions
  • To identify contract/commercial risks and ensure clear allocation of risk to the most appropriate party with clear risk mitigation plans in place.
  • To ensure an effective payment process including the management of supplier disputes
