    Job Description:

    We are looking to appoint a full-time experienced Finance Manager based in our Droitwich Head Office, to cover a 13-month maternity leave. You will join our team at an exciting time for the business, as we look to expand and drive forward. The Finance Team are responsible for delivering all finance and accounts services for the business in a timely, effective and accurate manner. You will be involved in all aspects of financial management, including business reporting, assisting with budgeting and preparing monthly management accounts to ensure budgets are met and not exceeded, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures, to include financial risk management ensuring our internal controls are robust and in-place.

    You will be reporting to the Co-CEO, liaising with the part-time consultant CFO, managing and supporting one Finance Assistant.

    To be successful in this role, you will be required to possess a combination of financial expertise, industry knowledge, business and commercial environment, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.

    Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

    · Assisting with the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, ensuring that all cost variances are investigated and understood

    · Ensure all key month end postings are carried out on an accurate and timely basis

    · Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of all balance sheet control accounts

    · Maintain stringent internal controls and adherence to recognised accounting standards and principles to safeguard financial integrity

    · Create monthly Management Accounts, discuss and review commentary with Co-CEO and part-time consultant CFO

    · Point of contact for company colleagues seeking guidance or authorisation for queries out with normal day to day practice

    · Escalation point for accounts payable and accounts receivable queries

    · Complete and review weekly cashflow and ensure projection is up to date and accurate

    · Host monthly Finance Assistant one-to-ones

    · Providing reports as and when necessary to senior business management

    · Reviewing and setting of credit limits for both existing and new clients using trading history, on-line credit reports and any other information available

    · Review of journals and business expenses posted by the Finance Assistant

    · Post payroll journal and reconcile control accounts monthly and quarterly

    · Final approval and authorisation on the bank of the weekly payment runs and ad hoc payments

    · Review of the company VAT submission and reconciliation

    Skills/Experience:

    · Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline; and/or:

    · ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent (AAT Level 4 minimum)

    · Substantial experience across Accounting/Finance to at least Management level

    · Experience of preparing management accounts including key account reconciliations and cost variance analysis

    · Xero Accounts software experience preferable

    · Strong all round computer skills with advanced excel skills

    · Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills

    · Ability to work well with tight deadlines and in a dynamic environment with multiple deliverables

    · Ability to work in a team environment

    · Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines

    · Curiosity and creativity to drive an innovation and change agenda

    · Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to interact with management at all levels, offering support and challenge
