Our client is a rapidly expanding global commodities trading firm that trades financial and physical products in the power, gas, renewables, oil, and agriculture sectors.

Role Overview

The Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in the client's transformation journey, specifically focusing on enhancing their Treasury, Liquidity Risk, and Accounting functions. They will be instrumental in the major implementations of new enterprise systems.

This role is crucial for improving the client's Liquidity Forecasting capabilities, not to meet regulatory requirements but to streamline reporting to their banking partners. The successful candidate will work in a high-profile, global delivery team responsible for projects with a 1 to 3-year horizon, offering greenfield project opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage closely with the CFO and Head of Treasury to elicit and understand system requirements that support the client's business objectives.
• Communicate these requirements effectively to technical teams.
• Oversee project delivery for the client, ensuring alignment with business goals, including managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
• Develop and improve processes for FX exposure management, sub-ledger creation, reconciliation reporting, and accounting practices.
• Lead the management of multicurrency environments, stressing liquidity forecasting and governance for the client.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within a small to medium-sized trading company.
• Deep expertise in Treasury, Liquidity Risk, and Accounting.
• Strong background in FX exposure management and working within multicurrency environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with a track record of eliciting requirements from senior financial officers and translating them to technical teams for the client.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-profile projects and deliver within set timelines.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, greenfield project environment with minimal red tape.
